Yoga in Art

Shankar Ramakrishnan is a Munich-based artist and the Founder and Artist of yogainart.com. Hailing from a traditional South Indian family, he is greatly passionate about yoga. He wanted to combine Yoga & fine art, this desire led to the creation of a fine mixed media art series Yoga in art.

Shankar studied Art and Architecture in Stadelschule Frankfurt, Germany, The Bauhaus and minimalism art movement had a huge impact on him. This influence helped him develop a minimalist art style. Free-flowing curves, bold strokes, pastel colors are dominant characteristics. He likes to combine different digital and analog techniques to create an art piece. Shankar's work is majorly mixed media.
